This course is a quick introduction to the basic science of Addiction taught by a board-certified Addictionologist. (Yes, there IS science that can be applied to the disease of Addiction.) This course covers basic definitions, pathophysiology, diagnosis and most importantly, the correct approach when triaging and treating people with the disease of Addiction. Addiction IS treatable. People CAN get better.
ADDICTION 101 is a three-four hour course which will be available at VaSAM’s Annual Conference. Organizations may also contact us regarding individualized presentations.
